Humans of Buddhism

The Youth Advocacy Committee Series

For Thirteen Years, the Sacramento Buddhist Temple hosted the Youth Advocacy Committee (YAC), a one-week retreat for teens within the Buddhist Churches of America. Participants developed lifelong friendships while learning Buddhist fundamentals, creating successful Dharma Talk, and becoming certified Youth Minister Assistants (YMA).

As we know, life is impermanent and everything must come to an end. YAC ended in a week, however, our lives continued. We moved onto college, jobs, marriage, families, and more. Every month will highlight a different YAC year, starting with the most recent and moving in chronological order.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
