Livestream Event: Katsura Sunshine’s Rakugo

Washin Kai and Town Hall Seattle present renowned entertainer Katsura Sunshine for a special performance of unique storytelling called rakugo. Rakugo is a 400-year-old tradition of comic storytelling in Japan.  Professor Paul Atkins of University of Washington’s Department of Asian Languages and Literature will give a brief history of Rakugo, followed by Sunshine’s performance in English, live-streamed from Tokyo.  The event is free but registration is required on Town Hall Seattle’s website.
