Turning a Hobby into Etsy Store

Like most kids, I think that I have always loved being creative and learning about visual arts. Most of my time in grade school I mainly focused on Math and Science since it came easy to me, but during junior year of high school I took an art class which helped me realize my true passion for art. I ended up falling in love with charcoal, pencil sketches and watercolor painting. At this time I still thought of it as a hobby and ended up pursuing a computer engineering degree. While I wish I would have studied something more creative in college, I have tried to spend more of my free time working on my art, and I have opened an Etsy store! Through this process I have evolved my art style to be more illustrative and learned a lot more about who I want to be as an artist. I love making art that brings people joy or can teach them about how I see and interpret the world. I am currently looking for a job in the tech field while running my art Instagram and my small store. One day, I would love to write and illustrate a children’s book or make art a full time job, but for now I am continuing to grow and improve my art.
